We designed a graphic that mapped the many faces and voices behind the most popular superheroes on film, television and in video games throughout the years, as well as showing where actors had played more than one. It received a significant number of links primarily from international entertainment and media news websites like Digital Spy and Gizmodo, and due to its use of imagery over copy, also had wide coverage in non-English outlets.

Vonage

Project Type: ON SITE & TECHNICAL SEO

15% traffic increase

Due to the Google indexing algorithm treating Vonage’s blog subdomain (blog.vonage.co.uk) as a separate domain to the main site, their search rankings were not thriving as they hoped. To resolve this, we implemented a “reverse proxy” which made the blog section accessible through https://www.vonage.co.uk/blog/, despite the content still being hosted on separate server. We then implemented redirects for the old URLs to provide a seamless user experience. As a result, Vonage has seen a massive 33% quarter to quarter increase in leads, and 1006 previously-disregarded URLs were indexed by Google.

Musixmatch

Project Type: ON SITE & TECHNICAL SEO

15% traffic increase

Musixmatch discovered that they had had a massive drop in traffic from Google. We performed a deep-level technical audit, testing international targeting, site speed, Google penalties, and the backlink profile. We found that measures Musixmatch had established in order to prevent site scraping were also preventing Google spiders from crawling the site. Once this had been resolved, and the site was optimised for search engines through keyword research and webpage analyses, there was a 21% increase in the number of URLs indexed by Google, and organic impressions and traffic drastically increased.
